Clausen district

Clausen, a small historical district

The Clausen district is located in the eastern part of Luxembourg City

Dating from the 12th century, the Clausen district draws its history from the Luxembourg breweries, and remains one of the most charming districts of Luxembourg City. The districts bordering Clausen are Kirchberg to the north, Neudorf/Weimershof and Cents to the east, Grund to the south and Pfaffenthal to the west. Clausen has public green spaces and recreational areas in the vicinity with the Trois Glands park in Kirchberg and the Alzette riverbank. The river Alzette divides the district of Clausen into two parts. Close to the Kirchberg and the Ville-Haute, this district has a large number of cafés and restaurants.

Living in Clausen

In 2022, Clausen had only 1,012 inhabitants. Very lively in the evening, Clausen is one of the favourite places to go out in Luxembourg. Located in a valley, Clausen is best known for its nightlife. Nevertheless, it attracts residents looking for a tree-lined location close to the Kirchberg business district. There is a elementary school in Clausen and it is served by bus lines 9 and 23.

The Clausen district is therefore a good location where you can buy a house close to all amenities, and located in a natural environment preferred by nightlife lovers.
